About the club

Rotary Club of Sorell Inc is a volunteer community service club in Tasmania and a member club of Rotary International, serving Sorell and surrounding areas. Its purpose is charitable and benevolent: members give their time and raise funds for projects that fill local needs, including public-access defibrillators, dignity bags for people in crisis, bus shelters, youth programs, grants to local schools and community groups, and Rotary's international aid work. No income or assets go to members.

The club was chartered in 1985 and is club 22763 of Rotary District 9830, which covers Tasmania, within Rotary International.

The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.

What we do

  • Defibrillators

    Public-access defibrillators placed and maintained around the district.

  • Dignity bags

    Packs of essentials for people in crisis, handed out through local services.

  • Local infrastructure

    Community projects such as bus shelters that fill a gap nobody else is filling.

  • Youth and schools

    Rotary youth programs, and grants to local schools and community groups.

  • International aid

    Support for Rotary's work overseas, from polio eradication to disaster relief.

  • Monster Community Auction

    Sunday 22 November 2026 at Pembroke Park, Sorell.
